Brody and Justin became very overprotective of Raffy when Ryder came to their place for the movie night, which annoys Raffy. At the end of the movie, Coco asked Raffy if she likes Ryder, who replies to her that he's cool and asked Coco if she likes Ryder too, but Coco denies it. The next day, Coco told Raffy that she had bulimia, and made herself sick when she eats. Raffy felt guilty for being a bad friend to Coco and asked her to let her help her. During the show's first season in 1988, a rape storyline for the character Carly Morris outraged the public and a protest erupted, as viewers deemed it an inappropriate subject to be covering in an early evening time slot. After Elly went to Vietnam Raffy was lonely but then the Astoni's came to the bay.
When Ty defends Raffy from a bully, she started to have feelings for him and was unaware that Ty also smittens her. They argue again when Ty refuse to let Raffy listen to his music. The next day, he lets her and she told him that it was amazing.
Mason Morgan
Raffy took all her anger and accidentally threw a rock at Roo's car, breaking the screen, which Maggie and her husband Ben Astoni witnessed. Her parents, Atticus Decker and Kate Lee had an affair while Kate was married to Koby Lee and had four children. Decker pretended to be her uncle, while her cousin, Hope pretended to be her older sister. She's the younger half-sister of Justin Morgan, Tori Morgan, Brody Morgan and Mason Morgan. She's also the younger cousin of Hope Morrison, who she thought was her older sister.
When Justin walked in on Raffy kissing John and Marilyn's new foster son Ty Anderson, he was angry and refused to let her move back to John and Marilyn's home. Raffy struggles in her new year as she also got bullied by Jennifer. While waiting for a bus to get home, Raffy meets an older boy named MacKenzie, who offers her a ride home and she accepts.

Other fictional towns mentioned and sometimes seen in Home and Away are Mangrove River and Yabbie Creek. When Raffy first met Ty when he arrives to Summer Bay to live with John and Marilyn, they did not get along as Ty's attitude was rude towards John and Marilyn and Raffy tells him off, leading into an arguement. But Ty went too far as he told her that John and Marilyn will never love her like their own, she slaps him.
In addition to this, Home and Away took a transmission break on 3 April 2018 in order to broadcast the 2018 Commonwealth Games, and returned on 16 April 2018. Over two decades later, the show began streaming on the subscription service Hulu on 2 March 2015, beginning with the 2015 season. The service no longer receives new episodes, although the complete twenty-eighth season is currently available. Since 2000, Home and Away has ceased broadcast mid-season for two weeks during the Olympic Games and the episode to screen prior to this is referred to as an 'Olympic cliffhanger'. An Olympic cliffhanger episode would usually involve increased drama, with the peak of a storyline, similar to a season finale episode, and the outcome of the cliffhanger to conclude after the Olympics.
Meagher along with Lynne McGranger , Ada Nicodemou (Leah Patterson-Baker) and Emily Symons are the longest-serving cast members currently in Home and Away. In 2010, Georgie Parker joined the cast of Home and Away as Alf's daughter Roo Stewart, originally played by Justine Clarke in 1988–89. Alf and Roo are currently the only two original characters in the series. At the end of the first episode, Tom and Pippa take in their sixth foster child Bobby Simpson . Aside from New South Wales, Home and Away has also filmed scenes in other states of Australia.

When Ty's 16th birthday arrived, Raffy, Ryder and Coco organises a beach party for him. They teamed together to get Ryder and Coco back together which became a success. Coco admits to Raffy that she likes Ryder as well and she lied last night. Raffy later tells Ryder that he and her will never happen, so Coco could pursue him. When Coco was away with her grandmother, Raffy and Ryder stole Alf's boat for a joyride and sail to an island, where they horrifyingly found the dead body of Dennis Novak. However, every night as Raffy tries to sleep, she began to suffer horrifying nightmares about seeing Novak's body, which worries Justin, Mason and Brody.
Pippa Doyle of 96FM reported that declining ratings in 2018 and Seven's decision to push the show back had created doubt about its future on the network, and whether or not a timeslot change or a move to a multichannel was likely. The season returned to a series low of 620,000 viewers and ranked 13th for the night. The following night, the viewing figure fell to 581,000 and the show ranked 10th for the night. The first triple bill on 21 February pulled in 577,000 viewers and ranked 8th for the evening. The ratings for the triple bill episodes continued to fall from 524,000 to 414,000 viewers, and on 28 March 2019, the triple bill pulled in a series low of 383,000 viewers and ranked 14th for the night.
Raffy was upset when Coco decided to go to boarding school in Queensland, but accepts to let her go, but the two keeps in touch. Raffy and Brody never seem close much like Raffy did with Justin. Brody was the first person to found out that Raffy was his sister. Raffy and Brody's relationship is a strained as he is high on drugs.
Seeing the degree of conflict the "influx of parentless children on a tight-knit community" was having, Bateman came away with the idea for a new serial. While Seven Network executives were unconvinced by the idea, audience research was positive. The soap opera was initially called Refuge, but the name was changed to the "friendlier" title of Home and Away once production began. Raffy refuses to leave Hope, but Hope gave Raffy to Justin and Raffy cries in Phoebe's arms as Hope is taken away by the police.
Raffy tells her that Matt isn't her legal guardian, nor is Evelyn. Raffy attends to Matt and Evelyn's wedding at the Farmhouse and the next day, she says goodbye to Elly as she left for Vietnam with Matt and Evelyn. Raffy meets her niece and Justin's daughterAva Gilbert who showed up at Summer Bay from the city. Raffy instantly bonds with Ava and they later at the beach with Justin. On 22 March 2020, Home and Away suspended production over the COVID-19 pandemic.
